Zionsville Bootcamp Coaches Protein Recommendation

Got Protein??

From Coach Carla:

Over the last few weeks, I have lost count of how many times that I have been asked about protein supplements. People want to know what protein supplements we recommend? What protein supplements we use? Etc. Based on that, I figure there are a number of  you wondering and maybe just not asking. So I hope this post will prove helpful in shedding some light on our thoughts and recommendations for protein powder supplements!

While we do not promote or make any money by recommending the supplements contained in this post, just know that we are not registered dietitians (nor do we pretend to be), we are just sharing with you what we use and what we have found to work for us. Us being the MAX IMPACT Fitness coaches. **Always consult with your doctor or dietitian before trying or taking any supplements recommended by anyone.**

Protein Coaches Recommendation

Post Workout Muscle Recovery Shake: We use Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein. It comes in more than 20 flavors, so you will be sure to find one that you love. My personal favorite is the Chocolate Malt, Coach Z & Way like the Extreme Milk Chocolate flavor. The major benefit of Whey protein is that goes immediately to the muscle to aid in quick recovery. This will help with building lean muscle and toning your body quickly as well as helping reduce soreness from tough workouts.

Night Time Snake/Shake: The other protein powder we use is Beverly International Ultimate Muscle Protein (UMP) Casein Protein. UMP is a casein protein, that like whey protein, is easy to use and can be consumed any time of the day. However, due to casein’s slow digestion and amino acid release, it’s generally taken when you might be without food for a long period of time; ideally just before bed time. Using a slow digesting protein just before bed can help reduce muscle breakdown over the night time hours. The chocolate flavor is great, and so are the other flavors offered by this brand.

You can find these protein powders at Vitamin Shoppe, Bodybuilding.com, or Amazon.com as well as other stores and websites.

I hope this helps!
